Valentine

This limited-edition (250 copies) 8.75″x5.75″ pocket folder contains poems by 18 poets, with each poem printed on colored construction paper. The list of contributors is printed on a paper band wrapped around the folder and secured with a gold sticker.
Carroll’s poem (published as “Valentine” in Void of Course) is printed on a blue bookmark-like strip. He composed the poem by circling words and phrases in the editors’ query letter then numbering them to specify arrangement.
Carroll’s poem, published on a 2-3/8″ x 8-1/2″ strip of blue paper, is constructed from words and phrases in the letter the publisher sent to him inviting him to submit a poem. The poem also appears in Void of Course (p. 99).
